This beautiful, boutique beach hotel is situated in Kirinda, near Yala National Park, on Sri Lanka’s south coast. The hotel is set on 1.5 acre of landscaped tropical garden, abundant with coconut palms, neem trees, pineapples and flowering frangipani trees with direct access to the beach.
There are seven air conditioned guest rooms, each room has a terrace or balcony and some with private plunge pool. All rooms are equipped with custom designed furnishings and hand picked mod cons, offering the optimal setting to relax and unwind. There is solar power for hot water and air conditioning.
Floor to ceiling glass windows in the bedrooms artfully frame views of the sea, the gardens and this wild, unspoiled seaside setting, whilst the open-sided living and dining areas were left open to the play of light and cooling breezes.
The garden is a natural sanctuary, and existing trees were woven gracefully into the design. The hotel’s timber floors, the winding staircase and the custom-made furnishings have all been crafted from reclaimed wood.
The restaurant and the bar is on the ground floor of the hotel, tables spill into the garden. There is a 45 ft mosaic-tiled swimming pool and 10 ft kids’ pool with jacuzzi jets.
