This beautiful beachfront boutique villa is located on the fringe of the peaceful coastal village of Talpe. The villa stands just back from an idyllic stretch of white sand that is protected by a coral reef offshore so that the sea here is like a lagoon and excellent for swimming.
The villa resembles as a Southern Wallawwa (ancestral home) with columns and verandahs, a central courtyard, and sprawling gardens. Entering to the villa via an open courtyard leading to a large sitting room and out onto a veranda that provides breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean.
It has five bedrooms, three doubles and two twins. En-suite bathrooms has showers and twin washbasins. All rooms are open out to the garden and some also open onto the central courtyard.
The interior design echoes the villa’s simplistic build and suitably equips it with only the most essential furnishings, many of which are strikingly beautiful Dutch period antiques.
There is a large sitting room with sofas and a covered verandahs with planter’s chairs.
There is a fully equipped kitchen and a BBQ area. The dining area is located in a separate pavilion on the other side of the garden near to the kitchen. The table can be laid for 10 people and the pavilion has its own seating area for pre-dinner drinks as well as the distraction of a pool table.
There is a good sized sea water pool located near the front of the house and direct access onto the beach through a private gate. To one side of the beautiful garden is a green-hued swimming pool that’s hidden from the beach by a raised bank of evergreen firs and tropical palms that stretch half-way along the villa’s oceanfront boundary.
